Centre Pivot Training Day

Kim Chandler - Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Training Day

Centre Pivot Fault Finding Training

The intent of the training day is to educate owners or their staff in how their centre pivots work. The training will cover simple fault finding techniques with instruction and practice on in field repairs. The course will be concentrating on Lindsay Zimmatic Centre Pivots, however for those who own another brand of electrically driven pivot, the control systems and fault finding procedures are similar & understanding how your pivot works will assist you in the field.
After the one day course you will be able, if you wish, to repair most in field electrical problems with your pivot, or be able to give the staff at TEAM Irrigation an indication of what the problem may be with your pivot, either approach will help keep money in your pocket.
The three most important tools for “Pivot Fault Finding” are commonsense, eyesight and an insulation tester “Megger”. We have organised to have “Meggers” available at the course if you wish to purchase one.

Centre Pivots Show Immediate Efficiencies For Dubbo Turf Grower

Kim Chandler - Thursday, April 19, 2012

Traditionally, turf grown for commercial purposes has been irrigated using labour intensive hand shift pipes. However, Brett Sweeting from Turf the Lot Dubbo is now reaping the benefits of upgrading to Zimmatic Centre Pivots. Turf the Lot leases 2 properties, one with a 186m Zimmatic centre pivot on an 8 hectare paddock and another part circle 285m centre pivot on 14 hectares.Brett said “We are now using half the amount of water we traditionally used and the centre pivot efficiencies is saving us thousands of dollars in labour. Whilst the investment in the Zimmatic centre pivots is a costly initial outlay, labour savings produced by the centre pivot efficiencies pays for the capital outlay very quickly. For example I believe we are saving $2000 per month on labour costs on the 14 hectare property alone.”

Kim Chandler - Tuesday, July 26, 2011

No leakage & a 20 year warranty.
TEAM Irrigation installs Zimmatic pipelines with formed outlets. A formed outlet uses a tapered-to-tapered thread connection instead of a looser fit welded-on couplings that can contribute to rusting & leakage

Solutions for Genetically Enhanced Corn

Kim Chandler - Tuesday, July 19, 2011

In response to the growing popularity of genetically enhanced corn, Zimmatic has introduced the industry’s first medium clearance tower.

Increased use of high-yielding hybrids means that corn plants stand taller and stronger in the fields, forcing a change in how they are irrigated. These taller stalks can be damaged by the truss structure of a pivot with standard clearance.
Zimmatic’s new Medium Clearance Tower enjoys the following the advantages over a standard-sized tower:

Mobile Move Centre Pivots

Irrigate More Acres Without Buying More Equipment

TEAM Irrigation clients seek solutions to maximise the number of acres irrigated by centre pivots and often the best solution is a Mobile Move Centre Pivot. TEAM Irrigation help clients plan a towing pattern to spread a grower's irrigation investment over as many acres as possible.
Investing in a Mobile Move Centre Pivot makes good sense, especially when you consider how much time, effort and worry you waste when you use a different type of irrigation system or no irrigation system at all. Some of the prime examples of situations that are ideal for putting a Zimmatic Mobile Pivot are...
  • You have dryland fields that could produce more - but wonder if you can justify an irrigation system
  • You are irrigating with solid-set or a traveling gun and you want to cut your time and labour costs
  • You're adding or replacing a pivot near other fields that could be irrigated
  • You want to spread your irrigation investment over as many acres as possible

TEAM Irrigation can help you plan a towing system allowing you to irrigate multiple fields or fields with irregular boundaries.
