Growers are often faced with obstacles in their paddocks which limit their ability to grow certain crops. So how can an irrigation farmer grow potatoes and lucerne on the same field? Particularly when potatoes require more water than alfalfa.

Simple – by changing irrigation application rates over the paddock based on the different crops or soil types. Rather than farming to the limitations of the existing irrigation systems, crops that require varying amounts of water can be grown under the same system, achieving total flexibility.
